Dear Family Office Club Enthusiast,

Thank you for visiting this website for those interested to join the mailing list.

A little background on myself, I have been an entrepreneur since I was 15 and been involved in various business opportunities throughout my career. Most of my cherished moments growing up was in building houses, construction services, software development and writing patents for cool technologies that I dreamed up along my business path.

One of the hurdles for all small businesses and entrepreneurs is access to equity capital from those who support the community. The SEC makes it a bit burdensome to access equity capital for small companies so most businesses pursue only bank financing and leveraged capital.

My decision to get into raising equity capital came from working with local friends and family that were interested to support some of my patented technologies and that got me started with my first Reg. D, 506b offering. Over the years it has been a great way to expand and grow.

There is some ways in which companies can exit into the NYSE or NASDAQ via a direct listing, and as I was researching this pathway to liquidity, I decided that it could be used by any company in Northern Michigan that could qualify. In order to qualify there are certain hurdles to overcome, but over the long-term a small business can access more liquidity called an exit.

One other interesting opportunity that comes up often is when locals call with real estate development projects or real estate-construction opporunities. Often these are very safe and solid investments in a northern Michigan local market that deserve support. They would require a small network of accredited investors to look at these opportunities.

Therefore, I decided to create Up North Angles as a way to form a family office club for locals to participate in local opportunties. We are not seeking investment from outside the area as this is very much a part-time opportunity for me and I don’t want to get side tracked from my own businesses to help finance other businesses outside Northern Michigan. There is plenty of opportunities at the local level that need support and community attention.

Should you feel interested to join, please fill out the Contact form. I’ll be in touch as I figure out how to organize this family office club from a start-up to a functioning community.

Warmest regards,

Walter Breidenstein
